My daughter attended the VPK program at Rockledge Montessori. We had a great experience at the school throughout the year and through their summer camp program. At the beginning of the year we registered for the free VPK program that was 11:30-2:30, after seeing the learning that my child was gaining within the first 3 months of attending we decided to change her to the longer day so that we could excel her to her fullest potential. During the school year she learned life skills like respect, manners, caring for the environment, positive communication skills and how to make positive choices on her own. These are the things that I don’t think are taught in a traditional school or public school. When my daughter graduated from the VPK program she was able to sit down and read and entire book without help, she was able to add and subtract into the thousands and learned and could name the countries around the world. She was exposed to different cultures and learned about other places around the world that I couldn’t teach her. After the school year my husband and I decided to enroll her into the summer camp program which again we were glad we did. The teachers Carmen and Michelle continued to grow my daughters growing mind with days filled with learning in a fun way. They even send home lesson plans every week so we were aware of what our child was learning each day. She came home once talking about and naming different rocks This school provides a structured learning environment that is safe and nurturing. The teachers focus on your child and there level of development and expand on it. I hope that when our son is old enough for VPK they have room for him. It would be disappointing to not be able to give him the same experience as our daughter.

My daughter just loves Ms. Michelle, the school, and all her friends. I am beyond happy for this past year at Rockledge Montessori when I switcher her there. It made her responsible, polite, and down to earth!
I’m writing to you to express my appreciation for Ms. Sandra Rodriguez, the teacher of my son, John, at the two-year-old class. She has been welcoming and encouraging John from his first day of school. She was so nice and patient with his terrible-twos. It is really incredible she taught him in only two months. John has developed in many ways and learned a lot of new things. What I really like is that he enjoyed learning and was excited every day to go to school, and the credit for that goes to Ms. Rodriguez. She was also great in communication with me about my son. Every day, she would tell me what he did and how he was progressing. She also advised me a lot about things to with my son at home.
Tristan, my husband, and I are very happy that we chose Rockledge Montessori! Thank you all so much for everything you do! We appreciate you and your hard work has not gone unnoticed. Thank you for making my first baby’s first “school year” such a happy experience! We love you all!
First, I would like to express to you the joy I feel as I drop Jesiah off and pick him up. What great teachers you have and the comfort of knowing that every penny I invest in him and in your program that it’s all worth it. Jesiah is a outstanding smart loving little boy (I swear he’s been here before) lol. To see him mentally developing in such way, besides what I do at home with him, is amazing!! So this is just a “BIG THANK YOU” to you and your staff for such an awesome Job each of you do!
My son started at Rockledge Montessori in May of 2013 and has FLOURISHED since day one. The staff is excellent (from teachers to administration), they keep him challenged and engaged (not easy – BELIEVE ME), and even my daughter commented on how advanced the curriculum is. A wonderful environment for young growing minds!
The growth of my daughter has made during her time at Rockledge Montessori has been absolutely amazing. Instruction is individualized to meet my daughter’s specific needs and learning preferences. She loves to read, write, solve math problems, immerse herself in environmental projects, study maps, and share cultures from around the world. The Montessori Method has been instrumental in helping her become more independent and responsible while challenging her as a learner. She is excited to go to school each day, and I look forward to hearing about all the wonderful things she gets to experience on a daily basis.
I want to take a moment to thank you and the entire Rockledge Montessori staff for the impact you’ve made upon my children.
Rockledge Montessori is the cleanest I have seen in the area. Prior to Rockledge Montessori, my children were always sick at other facilities. My daughter has been at Rockledge Montessori for four years and my son for two years. I am still amazed that only my daughter has been sick for a total of three days during her entire time at Rockledge Montessori. No sick kids means no time lost from work and no doctor visit expenses.
At first, I thought Rockledge Montessori was a daycare. Within six months, I started to see the change in my children. From becoming more organized around the house, showing more initiative, as well as, excelling in their academic studies. Not to mention the level of intellectual conversation the children want to engage me in.
I enrolled my daughter in your school when she was two years old. She is now six and attending kindergarten at Rockledge Montessori. As a proud parent, I look forward to my daughter attending first, second and third grades at Rockledge Montessori.
Our son has benefited greatly and is following in his sister’s footsteps while getting a great education.
Thank you again for your support.
Words cannot express my gratitude and love for you all at Rockledge Montessori. This past year has been an incredibly enriching experience for David. Each one of you has played an important role in this experience and I am so grateful. Both at VPK and at camp, the teachers went above and beyond our expectations and the end result is outstanding. Thank you to each one of you. It is clear when a teacher teaches because it is her passion and I feel that to be true with each one of you. You all have made a difference that will last a lifetime.
Thank you! We will see you next summer!
Our children have both attended Rockledge Montessori for a combined total of six years, since they were each 1 year old. Here are the reasons why we love Rockledge Montessori and recommend it to Brevard County area parents:
- Children learn about nature, recycling and taking care of the environment
- Children learn sign language and are introduced to Spanish
- Children learn about taking care of animals
- Children learn to take care of each other – especially in the 3-6 year old classroom where the 6 year olds help to teach the 3 years olds and the 3 years olds teach the 6 year olds how to be patient in working with someone younger
- Children learn at their own pace – the lessons do not force children to sit in rows of desks and listen, each child works individually so that they can move ahead or work on something longer depending on their own ability
- Children learn how to do everyday tasks – they help to wash tables, water plants, and fold
- At 3-4, my oldest learned all of the continents and could count to 100
- In VPK, my oldest learned to read, do addition and subtraction
- Low student-to-teacher ratio helps to ensure a positive and safe environment
- Montessori allows children to be creative and work at their own pace
- Children are not overwhelmed by plastic toys, instead they are provided with materials that are teaching tools specifically tied to their development
- Rockledge Montessori is like family to us and we miss the staff and teachers already (and it’s only been a week since we’ve been gone!)
My son just began the 3-6 program at Rockledge Montessori this year. I love this school. His teacher is very kind and caring and he is learning so much. I am very happy with the Montessori education my son is receiving. He comes home every day excited to tell me all about the things he learned. He is flourishing in this environment.
I’ve had 3 children attend Rockledge Montessori, from ages 1 to 5, including the summer VPK program. I think the school is excellent. The teachers are caring, and many have been with the school long-term, so there’s not a lot of faculty turnover. The administrator and staff are capable and caring, and the facility is conducive to education. All three of my children have felt happy and secure while in the care of the school.
